Registration
Studio Vivo accepts new students of all ages and levels based on availability year-round. A one time registration fee of $50 is due at the time of registration. The fee can be applied towards future lessons, or will be returned to the student if unused.
Miscellaneous Fees
On the occasion that the student chooses to participate in festivals, auditions, assessment, and competitions offered each year at the instructor’s discretion, the cost per event will be made known to the student prior to the event, and these fees will be added to the tuition in the appropriate months. Please be advised that no portion of any entry fee is passed along to the instructor.
Cancellation
Students are encouraged to attend every lesson as commitment is critical to learning and mastering any musical instrument. Any lesson missed due to illness, accident, or family emergency can be made up, if the studio is notified at least 24 hours in advance of the lesson day. Lessons that need to be rescheduled will be arranged at a time that is mutually convenient for both the student and the instructor. Lessons canceled less than 24 hours in advance will not be refunded or rescheduled. No refund will be given for no-shows or tardiness.
The students must bring all the materials required for each lesson, otherwise the lesson may be canceled or ended early without refund. Please note that lessons may need to be canceled by the instructor due to illness or professional obligation. In the event that the student misses 4 consecutive lessons, the instructor reserves the right to give away the scheduled time slot to another student. If the student wishes to discontinue all lessons, the studio must be notified at least 1 month in advance. Any unused portion of the lesson payment will be refunded accordingly.
Lesson Materials
The lesson fees do not include books, accessories and other materials. The students are responsible for purchasing the necessary lesson materials assigned by the instructor. The instructor will provide the source as to where the materials can be purchased. The students must bring all the required materials to each lesson, otherwise, at the instructor’s discretion, the lesson may be canceled or ended early.
Recital
Students are provided with the opportunity to perform in a recital each year, usually around April or May. Please be aware that participating in the recital is mandatory, as performing publicly will increase confidence and allow the students to stay motivated and achieve their musical goals. A non-refundable $30 recital fee will be collected from each student, to cover the cost of venue rental, printing of program brochure, and other out of pocket expenses. Additional performance occasions may arise at other times during the year.
Lesson Fee
Lessons will be invoiced on a monthly basis. An envelope will be giving to the students at the end of each month, to collect the tuition for the coming month lesson. Payments are due at the first lesson of each month. A $10 late fee will be applied to payments that are received after the second week of the month. In the event that an excused absence occurs, any prepaid tuition will be applied toward a lesson in the following month. A discount of 5% will be offered if the fees for the entire year is paid in a lump sum up front.
Studio Vivo accepts cash, check, or digital payments. For check payment, please make the check payable to “Studio Vivo LLC”. Digital payment is available through Zelle, Google Pay, Apple Pay, or Venmo upon request.
